Knowledge_On-The-Go_Grade-5Level 5 Module 4 Lesson 13: The Moon

In Lesson 13, students develop explanations for the Moon’s apparent motion by using their knowledge of the Earth–Sun–Moon system (CC.4) and then use a time-lapse video to evaluate their explanations. They then develop models (SEP.2) to explain how the Moon’s apparent motion from east to west across the sky is due to the rotation of Earth (ESS1.B). Students investigate the Phenomenon Question: How does the Moon appear to move across the sky?
