Exploring Math Instruction for Early Learners: Introducing Eureka Math2® Prekindergarten

Introducing Eureka Math² Prekindergarten

Children are born intuitively able to organize and classify objects in their environment. During play, toddlers often naturally put things together that are similar. For example, they may put all the toy cows in a barn and all the pigs in a pen. This grouping skill primes them for simple sorting activities using specific attributes once formal instruction begins.

As part of the ongoing launch of our new, exponentially greater math program, Eureka Math², Great Minds® is excited to announce the debut of our newest grade level, prekindergarten. Join us and see what makes this new grade level exponentially more accessible, engaging, teachable, and ultimately more joyful for students and teachers alike during this critical early learning period.

What You'll Explore in This Webinar

In this session, participants will learn how our Eureka Math² Prekindergarten course

  • was created by teachers for teachers and incorporates feedback from teachers and students,
  • embraces the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) so every child can access rich mathematical content, and
  • incorporates a young child's need for physical engagement and playful experience as they begin the mathematical journey.
